Welcome guests with snacks and freshly brewed tea served on this round serving plate. Expertly designed in a “Kosen-hari” style and dyed in a beautiful indigo hue, this serveware delivers a polished, refined, and regal presentation that is sure to impress the visitors. The premium-quality piece also seems to be exuding beaming lights when it is held and tipped in various angles for a luminous touch. Pair this indigo serveware with complementing tableware and classic silver utensils for unified entertaining.
The “Kosen-hari” design features Tsuki-ita, wood veneer sheets, with a corner cut in an acute angle and pasted around from the center, so once the piece is held up and tipped to various angles, the graining would appear in different hues, with shiny rays of lights running across, to create an illusion of beams coming out from the center. The refined piece is then dyed with a traditional dyeing process called woad-vatting with traditional Japanese indigo dye extracted from knotweed for a luxurious upgrade.
