  • Only as low as 0.7% dosage of the additive is enough to trigger biodegradation in the thin plastic products, and cost invested can be easily broken even by the increasing sales.
Our biodegradable additive is available in three grades:
  • Grade 1 for PP, HDPE, EVA, PVC, LDPE, PS, nylon, SAN, etc.
  • Grade 2 for PET.
  • Grade 3 for PC.
  • By using this very unique biodegradable additive, according to the ASTM D5511-02 (from USA) standard test for biodegradation of plastics in anaerobic condition, plastic including PET, PP, PE, PC, HDPE, LDPE (and many more) blended with our additive would biodegrade into carbon dioxide, water, humus and methane within 20 years in 4% of the additive (which traditionally takes 1000 years to biodegrade) when the plastic is put in the landfill (high bacterial rich environment).

Comparison with oxo-degradable, PLA, and other degradable products:
  • Our additive is completely not the same as oxodegradable/photodegradable additive or corn-based PLA (polylactic acid) resin.
  • Oxo-degradable products not only produce toxic final residue, but also have stinky smell.
  • PLA makes plastics become brittle and fragile under sunlight and outdoor conditions.
  • Time requirement for degradation depends on the environment in which the materials are disposed. As types, quantity and quality of micro-organisms may different, results may vary.
