Qilipo is a tea shop. I originally ran a printing factory, but in the 1980s when the same industry moved westward, I chose to switch to catering, and cooperated with relatives to open a new restaurant on Bo'ai Street that combined tea, set menus and dishes. At that time, this type of restaurant was already popular in western cities, but in Taitung, the mainstream of catering was still snacks or table dishes. The innovative selection of beverages and main meals in the business model, coupled with the novel decoration space, is suitable for large banquets and drinks, as well as menu items. There is also a wide variety of menu choices for people to order, which has innovated the dining form of Taitung. More than two years later, Huang Kunlin made a new breakthrough and moved the restaurant to the seaside park, which was far away from the urban business district at that time. At that time in the west, seaside view restaurants became popular, and Taitung was still rare. The white buildings in Qilipo face the sea and always reflect the romantic color in the sun; the spacious and bright space not only attracts tourists, but also locals like the leisure atmosphere here.

In 2016, the Nibert cyclone hit the waterfront store, which was severely damaged. It turned the crisis into a turning point and reconsidered the future direction of the restaurant while closing its business. He realized that innovative style and landscape are important, but with the improvement of Chinese people's consumption taste, the catering industry will inevitably move towards more refined food and healthy-oriented cooking appeals; instead of comparing the beauty with the big, it is better to emphasize the localized characteristics.

After a seven-month break after the typhoon, it reopened. What is refreshing is that this time there is no grand space. Instead, it has become a noodle restaurant. Taking red quinoa as the theme, emphasizing the healthy cooking of seasonal and local ingredients, Qilipo once again leads the new consumption fashion.
