VIAMONTE Gran Reserve Name: Viamonte Malbec Gran Reserve Vintage: 2010 Variety: 100% Malbec. Vineyards: Finca La Augusta, Vistalba. Yield: 3.000 kg/ha. Plantation density: 5.555 pl./ha. Height: 960 meters above sea level. Age: 100 years old. Harvest season: second half of April Harvest: by hand in 15 kg plastic boxes. Aging: Once the wines are obtained they are aged for 18 months in casks of 225 l of French oak. Once the process is finished the rammer in bottles takes 6 months. Tasting notes: red and deep. Intense aromas of red fruits and black fruits such as blackberries and cassis, with an elegant hint of vanilla. This wine has a great structure, balance and persistence. Chocolate and tobacco notes provided by its aging in oak. Round and velvety. This wine is elegant and magnificent.
