The centre provides speech and language therapy to children and adults in the following circumstances:
For example children with:
- delayed speech,
- special educational needs,
- with reading/writing and spelling problems,
- dysfluency problems (stuttering/stammering),
- feeding and swallowing difficulties,
- autism,
- attention deficit disorder (ADD),
- behavioural problems,
- cerebral palsy/physical handicap,
- hearing impairment,
and/or adults with:
- communication problems following CVA (stroke), head injury or laryngectomy,
- progressive neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, MND, multiple sclerosis,
- learning difficulties,
- voice problems (eg vocal nodules).
Parents, carers and family members may contact the centre directly for appointments. Alternatively, medical practitioners, teachers and other professionals may refer clients to the centre.
