HOULY CUTLERY & SCISSORS CORP

Houly was established in 1989 in Taiping, Taichung City. 

Back in 1975, the company was called Hawly Co., which was founded by Lu Swei Wang, and appointed Wang Wun Hong as the operating manager. In 1988 the operations of the company expanded into New Zealand, and transferred the company’s manpower, resources, know-how, product development in Taiwan to a new management. Main Product Lines
Houly is a typical SME manufacturer, with some 50 workers in its staff. The majority of its products are destined for export with a very small portion sold locally. Its main products include various stainless steel knives, including kitchen knives, multipurpose knives, slicing knives, chef’s knives, bread knives, steak knives, cheese knives, fish knives, scissors, and oyster knives, as well as utensils (i.e. forks, spoons, teaspoons, and peelers). We also produce special purpose knives, school scissors, letter openers, and tools for pet care, such as pet fur combs, nail cutters, and trimmers. 

Our manufacturing facility has continued to roll out additional manufacturing molds to develop other designs of products. Moreover, our products are tested extensively for quality and functionality. We also continue to develop new materials, with.a number of our products passing the LFGB standards.
