BRICS Ventures was conceived in San Buenaventura just a year ago, in a small and sleepy Barangay of Luisiana, Laguna. Where the climate is cool and the land is fertile. This gave the place its name as the “Little Baguio of Laguna”.The idea of creating a blend using turmeric tea was considered when the supply of raw materials to merchants came to a halt due to over-supply. The prices really gone down and the merchandise were almost left in the field to rot.

Turmeric Tea was born., we came up with healthy and the best tasting blend. The combination of Turmeric, Ginger, Lemon Grass, Moringga and Pandan. Added with the combination of raw sugar, wild honey and Stevia as sweetener. Brics Ventures has Turmeric plantation of nearly 10 hectares. Plants were grown in a traditional way. This is without fertilizer and insecticides. Turmeric was harvested in the ripe age of at least 18 months. Marketing of the product was gaining grounds trough direct selling by agents in some part of Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Metro Manila, Bicol, Negros and Mindanao.

With the help and advises from friends, the company slowly took shape and began its production. Turmeric Tea 7 in 1 was the brand name and were packed in different sizes. DTI was instrumental in the development of the company for its support and guidance. Seminar after seminar were attended, fair after fair were organized to gain exposure for a baby walking business. Although the business is not that successful yet, We truly believe, that her time will come with the help of the Almighty, DTI, ALAFOP, friend and other entity that will shape the way the company.

Production is slowly picking up and more orders were received. Though marketing is really a struggle, what kept us going was the belief in our product that in a way, it will give comfort to the drinkers. And it proved right as there are now people coming forward to attest their experience with our product. The whole of the BRICS TURMERIC Team were using the product and can attest the goodness that we experienced in drinking it. And this we want to share with everybody.
