Standard (Packaging) First Amendment Regulations, 2022<\/li><li>Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Second Amendment Regulations, 2022, by adding specific migration limit values for antimony and phthalic acid, bis(2-ethylhexyl) ester (DEHP) in food contact plastics (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sgs.com\/en\/news\/2022\/10\/safeguards-11522-india-strengthens-chemical-safety-in-food-contact-plastics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SafeGuardS 115\/22 and references therein<\/a>)<\/li><\/ul><p>Additionally, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI)\u00a0issued\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fssai.gov.in\/upload\/advisories\/2022\/01\/61eb9b40949b5Mechanism_Recycled_Plastics_22_01_2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">an authorizing mechanism<\/a>\u00a0in 2022 for recycled plastic manufacturers as per the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Amendment Regulations, 2022, permitting the use of recycled plastic as href=\"https:\/\/fssai.gov.in\/upload\/uploadfiles\/files\/Compendium_Packaging_V_%2002-04-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">consolidated version-V dated April 2025<\/a>) by permitting products made of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for packaging, storing, carrying or dispensing of food products, providing that standards and guidelines are notified by the food authority.
