Mechanical and physical safety<\/h3><p>Including risks such as <strong>small parts<\/strong>, <strong>sharp edges and points<\/strong>, <strong>dangerous magnets (and magnet components)<\/strong>, <strong>breakaway features<\/strong>, <strong>batteries<\/strong>, and <strong>liquid-filled jewellery<\/strong>. It also specifies relevant requirements differently for adult versus children\u2019s products.<\/p><h3>2. Chemical safety<\/h3><p>Addressing key exposure and migration risks. This includes:<\/p><ul><li><strong>nickel release<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>harmful elements and heavy metal content<\/strong> (e.g., arsenic, chromium VI, mercury, lead, and cadmium)<\/li><li><strong>restricted chemical groups<\/strong> (such as certain <strong>aromatic amines<\/strong>, <strong>formaldehyde<\/strong>, <strong>phthalate plasticisers <\/strong>and <strong>short-chain chlorinated paraffins (C10\u2013C13)<\/strong>)<\/li><li>additional criteria and exemptions.<\/li><\/ul><h3>3.
