Shouryakuji Temple used to be the place where sake making was most active in Nara, where is known as the birthplace of Japanese Sake. They invented Bodaimoto style as the process for yeast promotion in 1400. Our Bodaimoto Pure Rice Sake is the only sake made with Bodaioto yeast, promoted from Shouryakuji lactic bacteria and Shouryakuji yeast found at the temple. It is full body and rich in flavor with umami.
