DCE fast Ni-HM/NiCad battery charger.
Incorporates microprocessor controlled electronics to ensure standby batteries are always in state of good charge.
Charger runs off a standard 220V 50Hz supply and is capable of re-charging a fully discharged battery in 6 hours.
Under normal conditions the batteries are trickle charged to maintain full capacity.
After a power failure the charger switches to a boost charge to restore the batteries in the minimum time.
Mains voltage, the charger state and the battery terminal voltage are constantly monitored to determine the operating conditions.
Manual override is provided so that a boost charge can be applied and a thermal trip can be used for additional protection if required.
Mains operated (190V-240V 50Hz).
Microprocessor controlled (fully automatic digital control).
Dual current charging (C/33 trickle, C/5 boost).
Factory programmed voltage and current levels (no setting required).
Available for various battery configurations (e.g. 25cells at 4AH).
Fully protected against short and open circuit batteries.
Sophisticated voltage monitoring to keep batteries in peak condition.
Internal times prevent battery overcharge even in manual override mode.
6 status LEDs show charge and battery conditions.
4 repeater LED outputs provide for front panel mounting.
