• 1) The ON mode is a constant light+remote control mode, with 12 static light colors and 8 dynamic light effects available. • The AUTO mode is automatic lighting mode (light control), and the lighting effect operates according to the last set mode memory. The lighting effect can also be changed using the remote control. The light will automatically turn on every day when the ambient illumination drops to 25-40LUX. According to the program setting, the light will automatically turn off after continuously turning on for five hours.

• ON means:

• After the string light stays on for 5 hours, it will turn off automatically according to the program of IC.  The next day if you want to turn string light on again, you can:
• 1) Simply push the switch back to OFF position and then push to ON again, then the string light will stay on for 5 hours again.
• Or 
• 2) Press the remote to turn the string light on for 5 hours.  
• So there is no Dusk till Dawn feature (i.e. auto turn on at night and auto turn off in the morning).
