The extra virgin olive oil from the region Kolymvari Greece, is 100% single variety and single origin (P.D.O). It has low acidity (up to 0.5%), true cold extraction (below 27*C) with distinguished flavour and aroma. It is produced under the constant and strict control of the Ministry for Agricultural Development. This ensures full compliance with E.U. legislation and guarantees the production of supreme quality olive oil.
All Kolymvari olive oils come from the Michelakis Family groves where the olive trees with their lustrous green and silver leaves stand peacefully overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Crete. At the Michelakis family groves, using traditional harvesting methods for optimum quality and flavour, and being environmentally conscientious, the selected Koroneiki variety olives are hand-picked under pristine conditions. The olive fruit is then brought to the Michelakis family mill where it is mechanically cold pressed producing this superior category olive oil.
