This photochromic lens is a clear lens that reacts with UV and produces a tint effect based on the amount of UV present. It can provide a correct amount of protection for varying light conditions. However, when driving, your car windscreen will block a certain amount of UV which is required to make the lens react so they do not work as they do outside of the car.
- When wearing photochromic lenses even in a dull day, some reaction will occur producing a very pale tint.
- When wearing on a very bright day when more UV is present, they will turn quite dark.
- When wearing them indoors they will become clear.
