Side glow fiber optic (side emit fiber optics) is a kind of solid core plastic optical fiber, its material is MMA with Teflon cladding, It is widely used in linear lighting decoration and medical instrument field with its big diameters, from 3mm to 18mm, which is different from PMMA fibers, their diameters 0.25mm,0.5mm,0.75mm,and 1.0mm is popular in short distance communication and colorful light show.
