Xuande Tureen is derived from Emperor Qianlong’s atlas called Jing Tao Yun Gu (classical potteries in ancient China) collected in the palace of Qing dynasty. This atlas includes a picture of a shiny red bowl made in the Xuande Kiln of Ming dynasty, and this tureen is actually evolved from this national treasure. It has regular features of graceful outline, and it is very suitable for brewing a large quantity of tea.
