- Ji’an is located in the heart of Jiangxi Province. Its total area is 25,300 square kilometres and it has a population of 4.9 million people. It is the cradle of the Chinese revolution and where the beautiful Jinggangshan Mountain lies. It is considered to be a “Chinese Excellent Tourism City”, a “National Model City”, a “National Garden City” and a “National Model Green City”.
- Ji’an has a 3,000-year-long history and a number of historical figures such as Ouyang Xiu and Wen Tianxiang were born here, in the home of the unique Luling Culture. With 68 per cent forest coverage, Ji’an is a green homeland with peaceful environment and stunning scenery.
- Ji’an is a vibrant place ready for investment. It has six expressways, three railways, one airport, the Ganjiang Channel and Ji’an high-speed rail, all of which form a six-hour “Economic Circle” of travel and connect Ji’an with booming eastern regions.
- It has perfect infrastructure and favourable investment environment, with such examples as the National Jinggangshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jinggangshan Export Processing Zone and thirteen provincial-level industrial parks, attracting many international companies to invest in Ji’an.
- Strategic emerging industries, such as electronics, green food, pharmaceutical and medical products and equipment manufacturing have grown hugely since they have been located here. Take electronic industries as an example, the incomes of 325 electronic companies have reached RMB 40.8bn, accounting for 43 per cent of the province. Ji’an is the new industry base for the electronic information industry.
