Integrated Waste Management Facilities Phase 1 - Located at the Shek Kwu Chau site (to be reclaimed) to the south of Lantau Island, occupying and area of about 10 hectares

-  An Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) incineration plant with a maximum treatment capacity of 3,000 tonnes per day

-  A Mechanical Sorting and Recycling Facility with a maximum treatment capacity of 200 tonnes per day for recovery of useful resources from the mixed MSW.
