The Basic Information of Da’an city, Jilin Province
Located in northwest of Jilin, the center of Songnen Plain, and alongside the Nenjiang river, bordering Inner Mongolia in the north and Heilongjiang province in the east, Da’an city is praised as “the pearl of Nenjiang river”, which is also one of the top 100 national new energy counties, national best investment attracting counties and best developing potential counties. Da’an city covers an area of 4879 square km, and has a population of 430,000. With a beautiful environment and ecology, Da’an city is a junction city on the way of Changjitu great channel between China and Mongolia. It can deliver cargo to cities like Qiqihaer, Harbin and Heihe, and port cities in Japan, Korea and Russia. Changbai railway line and Tongrang line meet in Da’an north station, and the city can be merged with Changchun City ever since the construction of Changbai high speed railway system.
Speaking of the resources, Da’an City has been proved to have an oil reserve of 250 million tons and natural gas of 10 billion cubic meters. In 2 subordinate industrial gardens, there is 1 natural gas station, with daily supply of 300,000 to 500,000 cubic meters, and a wind power plant of 1600 square km to be developed, which is the only wind power base with the capacity of over 10 million kw in Jilin Province, within which 5.25 million kw are listed in the national and provincial planning. In the nearby area, there is an Anbai hundred km new energy compound zone and a new energy absorption demonstration area, where the wind power can be utilized immediately.
