Old Kempton Distillery was founded by a group of friends who shared a love of whisky and a belief that matching passionate people with the finest Tasmanian ingredients would naturally yield exceptional whisky. 

Since our first distillation the focus has been to distil Tasmanian single malt whisky in small batches, to the highest quality. At Old Kempton we use Tasmanian ingredients, processing them using a traditional hands-on approach that priorities patience, attention to detail, and connection with the spirit over modernisation, automation, and volume. 

Old Kempton Distillery’s range of single malt whiskies, gins and liqueurs are premium spirits. 

Over the last 12 years we have been working to grow our profile across Australia and we have plans in place to continue the growth with our spirit sales. We have been developing international markets with sales to Japan, Singapore and China. Integral to our growth plans are partners in Asian markets that will work collaboratively with us to grow our brand.
