Comprehensive Cover Policy The Comprehensive Cover Policy (CCP) is a Policy designed for Hong Kong exporters and manufacturers. The Policy provides cover not only for all your export business on credit terms with goods shipped from Hong Kong, but also those transported directly from suppliers'' countries to their destination without passing through Hong Kong. ECIC provides cover for such transactions under the Comprehensive Cover Policy (CCP) as long as you are the principal in the contract of sale. All protection commences from the date of shipment.

Protection against Pre-shipment and Post-shipment Risks Policyholder who wants to seek protection for pre-shipment risks needs to take out an insurance policy that provides pre-shipment cover. The policy must be in place before the sales contract to be insured is confirmedPolicyholder needs to insure both pre- and post-shipment risks of the buyer at the same timePolicyholder who trades with buyer on Letter of credit or advance payment needs to insure pre-shipment risks onlyPolicyholder must export the goods within a period of six months from the date of insurable contract

Cover on Export of Service

  A statutory body established in 1966, the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation aims at encouraging and supporting export trade by providing Hong Kong exporters with insurance protection against pre- and post-shipment non-payment risks arising from commercial and political events. The ECIC is required to operate in accordance with the requirements laid down in the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation Ordinance (Chapter 1115). Its contingent liability under contracts of insurance is guaranteed by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, with the statutory maximum liability currently standing at $55 billion.   The ECIC provides a wide range of insurance facilities to Hong Kong exporters of goods and services who trade with overseas buyers and clients on credit terms, usually for credit periods of up to 180 days. Its services cover not only exports and re-exports from Hong Kong, but also offshore shipments transported directly from suppliers to buyers without passing through Hong Kong. The maximum indemnity provided is 90% of the credit limit.

Small Business Policy

The HKECIC was established in 1966 under the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation Ordinance (Chapter 1115). Through the provision of export credit insurance services, the HKECIC protects Hong Kong exporters who trade on credit terms with overseas buyers against non-payment risks and helps them conduct export business in a prudent manner. The HKSAR Government provides a guarantee of $55 billion for the HKECIC’s contingent liability.

   香港出口信用保險跼（信保跼）於1966年成立，是為香港出口商提供出口信用保險服務的法定机構，以保障出口商在付貨前後因商業或政治事故未能收回款項的風險，從而鼓勵及支援香港出口貿易。信保跼鬚根據《香港出口信用保險跼條例》（香港法例第1115章）的要求營運，併獲香港特憋行政區政府保證承擔信保跼根據保險合約所負的或有法律責任，現時法定最高負責額為400億港元。   信保跼為需放帳予海外買家或用戶的香港貨物或服務業出口商，就放帳期長達180天的交易提供一系列出口信用保險服務。信保跼除了承保在香港出口和轉口的貨物外，亦承保由供應商所在地不經香港而直接付運予買家的离岸貨運。信保跼保險設施的最高賠償率為信用限額的90%。

   一站式網上平檯「信保易」（www.ec-link.com.hk）有助信保跼與客戶之間建立電子文檔及交換資訊。出口商可以隨時隨地透過信保易投保，保戶則可使用這個平檯管理保單，例如提交信用限額申請、管理買傢組合的信用限額、申報貨運、申請延長付款限期或改變付款方式等。「信保易」更提供統計報告，輔助保戶分析業務表現。
