This solution is going to solve below listed pain points.
Inaccurate Triggering (Over/Under-sensitive): The headset falsely triggers on distant or surrounding beacons, yet sometimes fails to trigger until the user is absurdly close (30cm).
Lack of Directionality: The system cannot filter out nearby side/background beacons; it must isolate and trigger only the specific beacon directly in front of the user (within a 1m–2m range).
Power & Hardware Constraints: Previous setups required external power for each artwork. The goal is to use battery-powered BLE beacons (coin cell) to avoid wiring, while maintaining a 4-hour autonomy for the headset.
Calibration & Configuration Difficulties: There is a need for a post-installation signal calibration system to handle hundreds of beacons in a museum, plus a smartphone app to configure each beacon individually.
Integration Issues: Current prototypes (3 non-functional) suffer from hardware mismatches because the headset supplier and the beacon supplier are different.
Audio Logic: The system must reliably play a full audio clip once triggered, then resume scanning for the next beacon without interference.
