- Dimbula
- The name is derived from that of the valley which lies at the heart of the region, surrounded by the sub-districts of Dickoya, Maskeliya, Talawakelle, Bogawanthalawa and Nanu-Oya. Dimbula teas which are characterized as ‘High Grown’ are noted for their body and strength, and a powerful aroma.
- Nuwara Eliya
- Teas from the highest region on the island, rich in character are often described as the “champagne” of Ceylon teas.
- Uva
- Uva, on the eastern slopes of the central mountains, produces teas with a distinctive mellow flavor and pungency whose reputation stretches world-wide. Uva teas deserve to be enjoyed as a self-drinking tea, especially during the Uva quality season from July to September each year.
