Cleddau West HI & LO Product Description

Cleddau West is our West Coast IPA, brewed as a matched HI and LO pair under Cleddau Brewing Co.’s own market position: Dual Strength Brewing.

This is not a full-strength IPA with a reduced version added as an afterthought. Cleddau West HI and Cleddau West LO are designed to sit together as one beer family, giving consumers a clear choice of strength while keeping the same brand identity, style direction and drinking expectation. It is our West Coast expression of the idea: One Recipe. Two Expressions.

Cleddau West HI is the full-strength expression at 5.7% ABV. It is bright, crisp and hop-forward, with the clean bitterness and citrus-led punch expected from a modern West Coast IPA. The beer is designed to be assertive without becoming harsh, balancing grapefruit, pine, light tropical notes and a dry, refreshing finish. It gives drinkers the full IPA experience: clarity, bitterness, aroma and structure.

Cleddau West LO is the lower-strength expression at 2.4% ABV. It keeps the West Coast IPA identity in a lighter, more moderate format, with bright hop character, clean bitterness and high drinkability. It is designed for consumers who want the flavour and refreshment of a proper IPA with less alcohol, without feeling pushed into a completely different beer style.

Together, West HI and West LO show how Dual Strength Brewing can work beyond traditional ale styles. The HI version serves fuller-strength occasions: craft beer discovery, evening drinking, food pairing, premium retail purchase and consumers looking for a bold, hop-forward beer. The LO version serves moderation-led occasions: lunchtime, midweek drinking, daytime events, pacing, designated-driver moments and consumers reducing alcohol while still wanting a beer with flavour and attitude.
