Description
Made from some of the oldest vineyards in South Africa, planted in 1906 on deep alluvial soils, these vines now yield grapes with complex characteristics that produce wines with aromas of wild honey, nougat and nectarine and savory flavors of vanilla and lime with a long nutty finish. This wine can be enjoyed with Asian dishes and seafood.

Winemaker's note
The grapes are hand sorted, then gently destemmed before pressing. Cool fermentation with selected aromatic yeasts. After fermentation in French 225 liter barrels for 6 weeks, the wine is aged on lees in a temperature controlled cellar in stainless steel tanks for a further 3 months. The wine is approachable now, but can be matured for another 3-5 years for further complexity.
