Holter ECG workstation is a portable device that can continuously monitor and record the ECG information of human body under normal living activities for 24 hours or longer time, characterized by convenient wearing and no restriction of monitoring distance, body position or movements.
The Holter ECG workstation is AAA battery-operated, and contains a mobile SD flash card. Patients carry a record, which is connected to a set of regularly arrayed ECG electrodes through a lead wire. The typical recording time is 24 h or 48 h. After the recording process is terminated, the patient shall come to the medical treatment institute to have the ECG data recorded by the Holter recorder transmitted to a PC, which are then analyzed, displayed and compiled by the analysis software, and finally an analysis report is generated.
The Holter monitor is intended for patients requiring ambulatory (Holter) monitoring from 1 to 48 hours. The following is a listing of the most frequently used for the indications below :
Evaluation of symptoms suggesting arrhythmia or myocardial ischemia.
Evaluation of ECG documenting therapeutic interventions in individual patients or groups of patients.
Evaluation of patients for ST segment changes
Evaluation of a patient’s response after resuming occupational or recreational activities.
Clinical and epidemiological research studies.
Evaluation of patients with pacemakers.
Reporting of time and frequency domain heart rate variability.
Reporting of QT Interval.
Note: The above indications for use of holter monitoring stations is to provide a reference for medical diagnosis, not a replacement for diagnostic clinicians。
