This dry white wine from Knipser winery is made with Riesling grapes. It is recommended to pair the wine with Asian wok dishes, roast veal and grilled meat. The Knipser winery cultivates the site’s core parcel, known as “Himmelsrech”. The site is situated in a valley with eastern exposure and is therefore ideally sheltered from the cold winds from the north and west. This, combined with the direct sunlight, provides optimal conditions for quickly warming temperatures in the Mandelpfad. Its soil consists of a layer of limestone shale mixed with porous loess on top of limestone. The Falstaff September 2011 press review remarked, “light green-yellow in color, aromas of ripened pineapple and peach with undertones of inviting flower blossom honey and delicate orange zest with subtle minerality; complex on the palate, flavors of fresh white vineyard peaches, rich in minerality and finesse, mildly sweet aftertaste, yellow fruit, mango, long finish, already harmonious, good aging potential, impressively fresh. 90 points.”
