The new C.O.B. LED technology, and its high efficiency power needs dedicated luminous flux control systems. Extreme system has secondary optics that have abandoned T.I.R. (Total Internal Reflection) polymer lenses, which have established yield losses during their life caused by the decay of the polymer, the temperature and the sun rays. For this application, Extreme uses non-conventional reflectors. Those devices are realized with special plastic materials (Ultem®, Bayer registered Trademark) that allow thermal resistance up to 180° and a high vacuum metallization process that guarantees its characteristics over time. There are 25° and 40° optics availability.
