Equipment Introduction:
The low-temperature methanol scrubber is a gas purification device widely used in the coal chemical industry, syngas purification, natural gas processing, and other fields. Its primary function is to use low-temperature methanol (typically at -40°C to -70°C) as an absorbent to remove acidic gases (such as H₂S and CO₂), organic sulfur compounds (such as COS), and other impurities from syngas or natural gas, thereby improving gas purity.
Basic Parameters and Structural Features of the Equipment:
Scrubber Body: Made of low-temperature-resistant materials (such as low-temperature stainless steel or alloy steel). Circulation Pump: Used to transport low-temperature methanol absorption liquid, ensuring liquid circulation within the tower and stable absorption efficiency.Heat Exchange System: Includes a cooler (to lower the methanol temperature) and a regeneration heater (to desorb acidic gases).Separation System: Facilitates gas-liquid separation, ensuring effective separation of purified gas and methanol solution rich in acidic gases. Control System: Enables automatic regulation of temperature, pressure, flow, and gas composition to ensure stable process operation.

Application Range:
Coal-to-Gas / Coal Chemical Industry: Used for gas purification in coal-to-hydrogen, coal-to-methanol, coal-to-natural gas, and similar processes.

Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry: Purifies sulfur-containing gases, such as refinery gas and coke oven gas.
Tower parameters:
1. Tower diameter: usually between 1.5 meters and 6 meters, depending on the gas volume and operating conditions.
2. Tower height: usually between 20 meters and 60 meters, depending on process requirements.
3. Material: commonly used stainless steel or carbon steel lining anti-corrosion materials to cope with the corrosiveness of methanol
4. Gas parameters Inlet flow rate: usually between 5000 Nm³/h and 50000 Nm³/h, depending on the production scale.
5. Inlet temperature: close to ambient temperature, about 20°C to 40°C. Inlet pressure: 2.0 MPa to 6.0 MPa.
