Description
- Lawnmover top cabinet plastic injection mold
- P20 pre-hardened, single cavity mold
- End-product material: PC + PBT
- Mold net weight 17 tons with a shot weight of 4280g
- Equipped with hot runner system with 3 drops of valve gates
- Use moldflow analysis for balanced injection design and to reduce cycle time to 1 minute and 45 seconds, clamping force from 2700 tons to 1300 tons
- Use standard solutions to overcome plastic part of inherent complicated features:-
- Undercut a periphery of the plastic part bottom
- At middle region, there was a long rectangular outside undercut and inside opening on each side of the part
- At front region, there were 2 sets of through holes and ribs
- Perfect design in limited space with reduced mold thickness and favored robotic pick up of plastic part
