Mediomics’ mouse immunoglobulin M (mIgM) TRF-PINCER® assay kit can be used to quantitatively detect the concentration of mIgM in biological samples.
Immunoglobulin M (IgM) is a class of antibodies found in circulating body fluids. The IgM heavy chain is usually a pentamer constructed from five basic monomer units which are covalently linked together with disulfide bonds. The presence of J chains also stabilizes the pentameric molecules. It has high molecular weight of 970,000 Daltons and 10 antigen binding sites. IgM can also exist as hexamer while the J chain is not presented in this form. IgM is often the first antibody isotype to be secreted during an adaptive immune response. IgM cannot cross the placental barrier, thus it is a promising isotype to use in the design of monoclonal antibody biologics.
Product applications:
1. Monitoring production of IgM class antibodies.
2. Rapid detection of IgM antibodies in a pull-down or co-IP assay.
3. Detection of mIgM concentration within biological samples as part of a pre-clinical research program.
Product Advantage:
Mediomics’ mIgM TRF-PINCER® assay is ideally suited for the rapid, simultaneous measurement of mouse IgM levels in large number of test samples due to its speed and simplicity. It is readily adaptable to the high-throughput screening platforms currently being used in drug discovery research.
