Song of Flying Fish

Tao artist Shaman Madeno Miska (aka Huang Ching Wen) was born in Lanyu, 1970. Nicknamed the Flying Fish, Huang grew up in Orchid Island’s marine culture experiencing how all things under the sun closely link to each other. As energetic as a flying fish himself, he is good at using these fish as the subject matter of his work. He has not only made the powerful anti-nuclear appeal in his art but also led several campaigns against the nuclear power plant in the island to demonstrate his respect and concern for the nature.
