URUSHI is an object of exception in the fine writing range.  Made of Ebonite, coated with Urushi lacquer and fitted with a 14 or 18 carat gold nib.  In imperial Japan, objects made using the maki-e technique were highly prized by royal families.  Today, this lacquer technique is still used for precious objects, including fountain pens.  Each Urushi design will vary, many of these styles can be combined to create a unique design just for you.  In addition, we have various pen package in beautiful fabric bag or paulownia wood box for care your pen to last for many generations!
