Description
Charm and Sweetness
  • This rosé de saignée is both surprising and audacious, an invitation to discovery offering an extensive and unusual aromatic palette. It is obtained following the rare, traditional method known as “saignée” (“bleeding off”), which consists in extracting the must derived from macerating the grape skins with the juice for 12 to 16 hours.
Blend:
  • 80 % Pinot Meunier
  • 20 % Pinot Noir
Tasting notes:
  • Delightfully fresh, offering a broad bouquet of candied fruit, enhanced by aromas of wild strawberry. A remarkable vivacity in the mouth, combining structure, suppleness and vinosity. Ideal as an aperitif or with a meal. A powerful champagne that goes well with red meat and game.
  • The natural pigments contained in the skin of the black grapes, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, colour the juice and give this champagne its intense shade and unique aromas.
  • The robe therefore varies in colour intensity every year, to the delight of wine-lovers and connoisseurs.
  • It achieves its full freshness and complexity after four years’ rest in the cellar.
  • Guide Hachette 2016 : 1 Star
  • Selected by Un vin presque Parfait : “This pink robe cannot fail to attract you. A nose suggesting a range of red fruits, from raspberry to strawberry. The mouthfeel is vinous with cherry notes. A champagne to drink over the course of an entire meal.”
