Tawny is the classic cask style that Tasmanian whisky built its name on over the last thirty years. These casks are predominately sourced from South Australia and the sweet fortified wines bring plum pudding and spice notes to the single malt whisky. These tawny casks are matured for a longer period of time (5.5-6 years in 100L casks) to make sure optimum integration between the cask and the spirit is achieved.
