This optical hub contains 1 or 2 fiber ports plus 12-16 ports for 10/100Mbps UTP. This converting switch allows users to extend or interconnect their copper-based fast Ethernet network to a maximum distance for multi-mode fiber of up to 2km and single-mode fiber of up to 15-20km. It is used as an optical switch hub in FTTH (Fiber to the Home) that is installed in the home and apartment.
