    Description

Xushan Ecological Shou Mei is sourced from the core white tea regions of Fujian. Harvested as one bud with two to three leaves (including tender stems), it follows the traditional white tea philosophy of "neither frying nor rolling" — through natural withering and gentle low-temperature drying, preserving the authentic essence of the leaves. The dry leaves are fleshy and rolled up like eyebrows, with a greyish-green luster. Young Shou Mei yields a pale yellow, clear liquor with a pure, grassy-floral aroma and a sweet, refreshing taste. Aged over three years, it transforms into "Old Shou Mei" — the liquor deepens to amber-orange, bursting with layered jujube (date), herbal, and aged aromas; rich, smooth, and extremely durable for boiling. As the highest-yield and most cost-effective category of white tea, Shou Mei is the "national everyday tea" — perfect for both daily drinking and long-term aging ("one year as tea, three years as medicine, seven years as treasure").

    Key Highlights:

Mature raw material: One bud with two to three leaves including stems, rich in pectin and polysaccharides for sweetness and durability

Authentic craft: Neither fried nor rolled; 36–50 hours of natural withering + low-temperature drying

Improves with age: Aged 3+ years qualifies as "Old Shou Mei" with pronounced jujube and herbal notes, ideal for boiling

Brewing Suggestions: Use a Gaiwan, add 5g tea leaves per 150ml water at 95°C, first steep 10 seconds, can be re-infused 10+ times. For Old Shou Mei, boiling is recommended — 5g tea in 500ml water, bring to boil then simmer for 3–5 minutes.
