- The ECIC provides buyer credit checking and assessment. The credit information is regularly updated to monitor the risks.
- With a worldwide network of lawyers and debt collectors available to call on, the ECIC is in a strong position to assist policyholders in solving payment problems and to advise them on practical actions for preventing or minimizing losses.
- Insurance policies issued by the ECIC are accepted by the banking community as useful collateral for discounting export bills. The protection accorded to a policyholder may be extended to the policyholder bank by a letter of authority, which enables claims to be paid directly to the bank and can be instrumental in helping policyholders obtain banking facilities.
