For consumers to make more informed choices regarding water efficiency when purchasing household appliances the Water Supplies Department (WSD) of the Hong Kong government has made it mandatory for water supply piping and water fitting products under specified categories (Annex to Form WWO 46) to obtainGeneral Acceptance (GA) certification before products could be placed on the market.
