Description
- The predecessor of Yintan Hi-tech Development Zone, Yingtan Industrial Park, was established in June 2001. After being approved as a provincial industrial park in March 2006, it was upgraded to become a national hi-tech industrial development zone in August 2012. It has been placed in the national top ten of the Development zones with this highest investment value. The development zone was bestowed the names of “the national recycling transformation demonstration park”, “the provincial eco industrial park” and “the provincial copper based new materials industry base”.
- Yintan Hi-tech Zone is located in the southwest of Yingtan City. There are two sub-district offices and a population of 50,000 people with the area of 60 square kilometers in the southwest of Yingtan City. An extra 30-square-kilometer planning area is divided into Bailu Science and Technology Park and Longgang industrial park.
- The Hi-tech Zone has completed water, electric, gas, road, drainage, sewage, telecommunications and cable network infrastructure. It is gradually developing into a hi-tech enterprise platform, with small and micro entrepreneurial platforms, science and technology financial services platforms and the investment share platforms all growing here. There are 400 enterprises in the zone, initially formed based on six developing industries, namely the development of copper-based material, green water, health, power electronics, new energy and innovative manufacturing industries.
- In 2013, the main business income of the Yintan Hi-tech Zone reached US$6.7 billion; while its financial income was US$2.2 billion. The Hi-tech Zone positions itself to “creating hundreds of billions, and building an industrial new town”. It works hard to implement the project to create an innovation driven city, with financial and trade co-operation, hi-tech industrial agglomeration, active technology innovation, complete facilities and a beautiful environment in a modern industrial city.
