YINTAN HI-TECH DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   The predecessor of Yintan Hi-tech Development Zone, Yingtan Industrial Park, was established in June 2001. After being approved as a provincial industrial park in March 2006, it was upgraded to become a national hi-tech industrial development zone in August 2012. It has been placed in the national top ten of the Development zones with this highest investment value. The development zone was bestowed the names of &ldquo;the national recycling transformation demonstration park&rdquo;, &ldquo;the provincial eco industrial park&rdquo; and &ldquo;the provincial copper based new materials industry base&rdquo;.  
   Yintan Hi-tech Zone is located in the southwest of Yingtan City. There are two sub-district offices and a population of 50,000 people with the area of 60 square kilometers in the southwest of Yingtan City. An extra 30-square-kilometer planning area is divided into Bailu Science and Technology Park and Longgang industrial park.  
   The Hi-tech Zone has completed water, electric, gas, road, drainage, sewage, telecommunications and cable network infrastructure. JINGDEZHEN HIGH-TECH IND'L ZONE

   Elevated to state-level status at the end of 2010, a Hi-Tech Industrial Zone appears in southwestern Jingdezhen. In recent years, it has focused on project construction, notably of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone.   The 50-square-kilometer area&rsquo;s geographical position is superior and its traffic is well developed thanks to national highways, high-speed railways and modern airports.    Ganzhou Development Zone, located in the west of the city of Ganzhou, has a fortuitous geographical position and a total area of 219 square kilometers.  
   The zone is near the exits of Ganyue and Xiarong expressways and is also able to access the Beijing&ndash;Kowloon Railway, Ganzhou&ndash;Longyan Railway, and in the future, the Nanchang&ndash;Ganzhou&ndash;Shenzhen high-speed Railway, which is currently under construction. This new railway will have a modern terminal, providing convenient transportation links. It only takes 15 minutes to travel to Ganzhou Gold Airport.

Ganzhou Development Zone 

JIUJIANG ECONOMIC-TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   The Jiujiang Economic-Technological Development Zone rests in the western district of Jiujiang City, on the south bank of the Yangtze River and north of Lu Mount and Eight Mile Lake. Its planning area measures 140 square kilometers. About 150,000 people live there.   With 400 enterprises, the zone forms a primary platform for countries to promote building the Ecological Economic Zone of Poyang Lake and developments along the Jiangxi River. Such developments include a natural deep-water port, container terminals, a port center, a special railway line, the Yangtze River Highway Bridge, a logistics park, a bonded warehouse and a production-materials market.   More quality industrial-reserve land and other factors provide additional advantages. From the forerunner of port activities, plans call for the formation of modern industries and social-welfare facilities, all in a comprehensive industrial zone blessed by economic prosperity, ideal facilities and a beautiful environment in a modern port new-city.   The zone adheres to a slogan of &ldquo;strong power on the port, promote the city powerfully, a production city integrated with the port&rdquo;.    Nanchang is the capital city of Jiangxi Province, administering four counties (Nanchang, Xinjian, Jinxian and Anyi Counties), five districts (Donghu District, Xihu District, Qingyunpu District, Wanli District and Qingshanhu District), three state-level Development Zones (Nanchang Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone and Nanchang Xiaolan Economic Development Zone), a provincial-level Development Zone (Sanghai Economic and Technological Development Zone), an industrial park and Honggutan New District. The Jiulonghu region in Honggutan will be built into a new city, with a construction area of 40 square kilometers, and an estimated population of 300,000.   In addition to this is the reconstruction of the old city, with completion of the reconstruction task in the central urban area involving the reconstruction of about 60 thousand households. There will also be a focus on construction projects of eight supporting infrastructures, such as the Xianghu tunnel for rail transit.

   Yichun, located in northwestern Jiangxi Province, consists of three component cities, six counties and one district with 5.9 million people and a total area of 18,700 square kilometres.   It has a convenient transport system which features many high-speed roads leading to other main cities and to the southeast coast. Moon Mountain Airport has opened and the Nanchang-Hangzhou-Changsha high-speed railway will do likewise by the end of 2014. As part of the first batch of eco-pilot cities, Yichun has seven major rivers that have reached national drinking standards, and its air quality satisfies national standards too. The area holds distinctions as &ldquo;national sanitary city&rdquo;, &ldquo;national garden city&rdquo;, &ldquo;national green model city&rdquo;, &ldquo;China excellent tourism city&rdquo; and &ldquo;China livable city&rdquo;, among other titles.   Industry has developed as well; the foundation looks strong based on new energy, new medicine, new materials and new manufacturing. Modern agriculture and tourism flourish. The area possesses nationally significant new energy, a lithium hi-tech industrial base and a thriving ceramics industry, a combination of traditional pillar industries plus four national and 22 provincial-level industrial bases.   Energy, food, medicine, machinery, building materials, chemicals, clothing, textiles, shoes and other sectors hold obvious advantages here. The new-energy lithium has been listed as Jiangxi&rsquo;s first US$4bn industrial work.

PINGXIANG ECONOMIC & TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   Pingxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ).   Established in 1993.   Obtained Jiangxi government&rsquo;s approval as a provincial-level zone in 1995.   Gained State Council endorsement as a state-level zone in 2010.   Area covering 57.6 square kilometers.   With a population of 120,000 people.   Important part of Pingxiang City.   Main region for city&rsquo;s expansion to the north and south.   Achieved main business incomes of RMB $60 billion and contributed RMB $20 million to government revenue in 2013.   360 industrial enterprises result from investments of RMB $5.2 billion, of which US$60 million came from overseas.   Follows a strategy of industrialization and urbanization.   Adheres to a &ldquo;Three Parks and Six Base&rdquo; industrial economy and a &ldquo;Three Axis and Three Hearts&rdquo; format of urban functional zoning.   The Shanghai-Kunming State Highway and the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway extend in an east-west direction.   Pingxiang Station on the Hangzhou-Changsha High-Speed Railway will open in September 2014.   Changsha Huanghua International Airport will be just a one-hour drive away.   The Pingxiang ETDZ has formed the municipal government&rsquo;s main battlefield for a &ldquo;one axis, two cores&rdquo; strategy since 2013.   Plans call for vigorous development of hi-tech precision manufacturing and clean production characterized by urban-industrial, hi-tech, high-quality and modern services.

LONGNAN ECONOMIC & TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   The Longnan Economic and Technological Development Zone, the replacement for the Jiangxi Longnan Economic and Technological Development Zone, was established in July 2000.  
   In 2010, the Longnan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Dongjiang, was approved by the provincial development and reform commission as a pilot; and in 2013, it was approval by the state council meant that the zone was upgraded to be a national economic and technological development zone.  
   The completed planning area of Longnan is 150 square kilometers, with a 9.3 square-kilometer zone having been built up to now. Thus far, 253 companies have settled in, including more than 70 highly specialized enterprises, each with a focus on a different area, including: the development of new rare earth materials, electronic information, modern light industries and food and drug industries.  
   Longnan has convenient transportation links and infrastructure that functions perfectly. It is equipped with a national inland customs, inspection and quarantine institution and is the bridge for Jiangxi Province to the outside world. It is also the first choice for coastal industrial transfer.     In 2013, Longnan&rsquo;s main business income was US$2.7 billion and total imports and exports of up to US$440 million.

   Xinyu Hi-Tech Development Zone (XHDZ).   Adjacent to Xinyu City and founded in November 2001.   Governs 1 town and 1 agency.   Area covering 266 square kilometers with a population of 160,000 people.   The State Council upgraded XHDZ to a national hi-tech development zone in November 2010.   Has focused on developing as a first-class technology area, prompting constant exploration, breakthroughs and transcendence.   Always follows a strategic slogan of &ldquo;Devote All to Accelerate the Development of XHDZ&rdquo;.   A priority for the Xinyu Municipal Government and the Xinyu Municipal Party Committee.    Located in the midwest of Jiangxi Province, between Nanchang and Changsha.   3 hours away from Changsha only.   Governs 3 districts and 1 county.   Area covering 3,178 square kilometers.   Home to a population of 1.15 million.   A city with over 1,740 years of history, and many beautiful legends.   Lu Zhao, considered to be the first scholar, and Wang Qinruo, the first prime minister of the Northern Song Dynasty were born in Jiangxi.   Other famous people include the famous contemporary Chinese painting master, Fu Baoshi and Song Yingxing from the Ming Dynasty.   Comrade Mao Zedong hosted a famous Luofang meeting in Luo Fang Zhen, and wrote the &ldquo;Xingguo survey&rdquo; in 1930. SHANGRAO BUREAU OF COMMERCE

   Shangrao is located in the north-east of Jiangxi Province. It neighbors Quzhou City in Zhejiang Province to the east, Wuyishan City in Fujian Province to the south, Huangshan City in Anhui Province to the north, Nanchang City to the west and is close to Poyanghu Lake. It is known as the &ldquo;passageway of four provinces&rdquo; and the &ldquo;superior rich land&rdquo;.   It occupies an area of 22,800 square kilometres and has a population of 7.6 million. In 2013, its GDP was US$22.59bn, and its revenue was US$3.7bn. It is the second largest city in Jiangxi Province and one of the four most important developing cities in the province.   It is an open city, approved by the State Council, governing Shangrao, Guangfeng, Yushan, Yanshan, Hengfeng, Yiyang, Wuyuan, Wannian, Yugan, Poyang, ten counties and Xinzhou District, including the management of Dexing City.   Shangrao, which has remarkable geographical advantages and transport links, is well-connected to the Changjiang and Zhujiang Delta and also the south-east of Fujian Delta alongside developed coastal areas in the south-east.

BUREAU OF COMMERCE OF GANZHOU

   &nbsp;Ganzhou is located in Southern Jiangxi. It has an area of 39,400 square kilometers and a population of 9.27 million people. The city is known as an ancient capital, &ldquo;the Cradle of Hejia&rdquo; and &ldquo;Rare Earth Kingdom&rdquo;. It has jurisdiction over 18 counties, 3 national economic and technological development zones and 1 comprehensive bonded zone.  
   The docks of Ganzhou are located at the east of the city, while the south of Ganzhou is the Pearl River Delta, the west is Hunan and the northeast is the path to the Yangtze River Delta. Ganzhou connects the Yangtze River Economic Zone and the Southern China Economic Zone. It is composed of 4 provinces, namely Gan, Yue, Min and Xiang, which are areas of regional modernization, central cities and important traffic hubs of the southern China.  
   According to the State Council report issued on June 28, 2012, Ganzhou will enjoy the policy of development to the west of the city, making Ganzhou the center of the special zone of the old liberated areas. Ganzhou is in the Jiangxi Comprehensive Bonded Zone that is the only zone based around an ever-improving platform.

RUIJIN ECONOMIC & TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   &nbsp;Ruijin Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in May 2002, and the State Council approved the area as a national economic and technological development zone in November 2013. It is the &ldquo;agricultural products processing demonstration base&rdquo; and the &ldquo;eel and spirulina export processing demonstration base&quot; of Jiangmen Province and also a &ldquo;provincial private science and technology zone&rdquo;.  
   Its total planned area is 43 square kilometers and has recently added another 11 square kilometers. The zone focuses on the development of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, food processing, new building materials, clean energy, advanced equipment manufacturing and the new materials industry.  
   The development zone has had investment for its construction of US$1.09 billion and it has built a trunk road network and perfect water supply, power supply, drainage, sewage and other infrastructure construction. Currently, 153 enterprises have moved into the development zone, 115 enterprises are in production and 38 enterprises are still under construction. About 32 industrial enterprises are above the designated size, and there has been an initial formation of various industries, including electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, food processing, garment bags, toys and other leading industries.  

Ruijin Economic and Technological Development Zone

YICHUN ECONOMIC & TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   Located in the northern part of downtown, the Yichun Economic and Technological Development Zone lies at the intersection of State Road 320 and the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway.   Founded in September 2003, it fills a planning area of 81.5 square kilometres with a built-up area of about 20 square kilometres. It has 600-plus registered companies, 300-plus production enterprises and 60,000 local people.   In May 2006, the Zone gained approval as a provincial development area and was soon ranked as Jiangxi&rsquo;s most advanced industrial parks. Among other distinctions, it is regarded as a leading eco-industrial park and the first provincial modern service area. In January 2013, it became a National Economic and Technological Development Zone.   The Zone firmly relies on Yichun&rsquo;s industrial base and resource conditions while actively coordinating a Poyang Lake ecological economic area. By constantly improving industrial planning, adjusting modes of economic growth and building strategic emerging industrial systems, the Zone has distinguished itself, forming the first state-level new-lithium-energy industrial base, plus provincial electromechanical, services and medicine industrial bases. All of these now form dominant industries.

SHANGRAO ECONOMIC & TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   The Shangrao Economic and Technological Development Zone (SETD for short) is located in the western urban area of Shangrao city with convenient transportation links to eight provinces. SETD is considered to be a &ldquo;National Economic and Technological Development Zone&rdquo;, &ldquo;Key Gradient Undertaking Base for National Processing Trade&rdquo;, and &ldquo;Transference Undertaking Base for Taiwan-funded Enterprises&rdquo;.   In addition, SETD is the national photovoltaic and optical hi-tech industrialization base, and is the top five development zones of Jiangxi Province. It covers an area of 176 square kilometres with 12 square kilometres of currently built-up industrial area, and owns a total population of over 100,000, including about 45 thousands of industrial workers.    The National Nanchang Xiaolan Economic-technological Development Zone lies in the territory of Nanchang County, was established in March 2002 and became a Province-level Development Zone in March 2006. It was upgraded to a National-level Economic and Technological Development Zone in July 2012 after being approved by the State Council.   The planned area of Xiaolan Economic Development Zone is 200 square kilometers and the built-up area is 22 square kilometres. The Xiaolan Development Zone implements the development mode &ldquo;one zone with three parks&rdquo; and forms a mutually-promoting development pattern. There are various areas within the zone, including Xiangtang Logistics Park, Wuyang Pioneer Park for small and medium enterprises and Nanxing Binjiang Industrial Park. NANCHANG NATIONAL HIGH-TECH IND'L DEVELOPMENT ZONE

   Founded in March 1991, the Nanchang National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone gained State Council approval as a national hi-tech area in November 1992. The zone, in eastern Nanchang City, covers 231 square kilometers and has 500,000 residents.   Completed construction fills 60 square kilometers with 2,600-plus companies already in place, more than 260 of them foreign-invested enterprises. Fourteen are Fortune 500 companies, like ABB, Sanofi, Microsoft, Oracle, Yum! and Bertelsmann. Thirteen public enterprises maintain their headquarters in the zone. Forty-six companies there exceed US$16 million in annual revenues. Fifteen surpass US$160 million, one soars beyond US$805 million and three exceed US$1.6 billion.   During recent years, the zone has maintained double-digit growth and ranks first among Jiangxi Province&rsquo;s industrial zones. For 2013, its main business income reached US$16.2 billion, fixed capital investment amounted to US$5.4 billion, social retail goods totaled US$1.69 billion and fiscal income hit US$901 million.    Jiujiang is located in the north of Jiangxi province, bordering Hubei, Hunan and Anhui provinces.
