In 2009, PT AIG Life changed its name to PT AIA Financial Based on letter number 042 / LGL-AIGL / Srt / V / 2009 dated May 27, 2009. and in accordance with Copies of Deed of PT AIG Life Shareholder Resolution No. 35 dated 29 April 2009 made by notary Merryana Suryana, SH and approved by the Minister of Law and Human Rights through the Decree of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights No. AHU - 21773.AH.01.02 Year 2009 dated May 19, 2009 stating that the Ministerial Regulation number S-078 / MK. 5/2005 dated February 1, 2005 applies to the new name of PT.&nbsp;AIA Financial before its PT AIG Life.

Based on the 2014 Life Insurance Performance Report of Indonesia 2014: 	 AIA ranks second in life insurance companies in Indonesia in terms of Total Weighted Premium Income (TWPI) with a market share of 10.3 percent.&nbsp;TWPI AIA in 2014 grew by 23 percent from a year earlier to Rp8.1 trillion.   	 AIA is also listed as the top three life insurance companies in Indonesia for the acquisition of New Business Total Weighted Premium Income (NBTWPI) with a market share of 8.5 percent.&nbsp;AIA recorded NBTWPI growth of 10 percent to Rp2.3 trillion in 2014.
