Transforming Treatment Spaces: Innovative Application of Industrial Style in a Physical Therapy Clinic IntroductionActive Rehab started as a modest clinic led by Kevin Choi, a physical therapist who is dedicated to solving patient issues by traveling globally and learning new approaches. Initially focused on traditional manual therapies complemented by corrective exercises for tendon issues, the clinic has expanded in 2022 due to its effective treatments. Located in a bustling district of Hong Kong, the clinic has broken away from the conventional by adopting an industrial aesthetic for its redesign. This bold choice in design not only enhances the space's aesthetics and functionality but also innovates in comfort and therapeutic effectivene area   

PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC BRANDING ON FITTING OUT

This multi-phased project consists of full renovations of &nbsp;the OR, Gastrointestinology, and Oncology departments. The 9,700 SF GI remodeling consolidates procedure rooms and clinical spaces with the supporting doctors&rsquo; offices that were previously scattered throughout the hospital.&nbsp; A light-filled and enlarged waiting room and reception area gives patients and family a non-institutional first impression. The 6,700 SF Oncology remodeling creates a new unit consolidating reception/waiting, clinical and infusion services together with medical offices. &nbsp;Seven infusion bays will allow for natural light into all areas and it is designed to create a choice of privacy level to provide a sense of control and to help support the variety of social interaction a patient may desire.

OR-GI-ONC Renovation 

Project Description
Bancroft &nbsp;provided complete A/E services to renovate this Mental Health Facility and office space, including but &nbsp;not limited to all architectural and engineering, professional, technical and investigative services for for the renovation of approximately 80,000 square feet. &nbsp;
The project includes modernized waiting areas, tele-therapy units, group therapy units and individual treatment offices. &nbsp;The project also involves considerable use of phasing due to multiple relocations of existing departments and to allow for continual use of non-impacted spaces. A primary objective is to make more efficient use of space and create additional separate offices for use by doctors. This requires a creative design solution to reconfigure a considerable amount of space, incorporating wayfinding and Evidence-Based Design initiatives.
