At AMW we combine German ownership, management and efficiency with Chinese raw materials and manufacturing.
AMW was established in 1986 as a trading company, sourcing a wide variety of different products from China, Taiwan, Korea, and a variety of other Asian countries. In 1995 AMW set up its wholly owned factories in China and later in Vietnam, predominately producing children and doll clothing and accessories. Continually changing demand for new items lead to AMW establishing cooperation with numerous Chinese factories over the years, allowing for an extensive range of products and services.
At AMW we cooperate with the whole supply chain and monitor and control fabric and material sourcing, all finishing, sewing and packing and maintain excellent relationships with all other suppliers and partners.
Management, administration, and merchandising is controlled from Hong Kong, whilst sourcing, quality control, testing and production coordination is managed from South China and Hangzhou Province.
AMW accommodates a variety of trading terms (CIF, C&F, Ex-Factory), and can also offer LDP terms to customers who need to outsource certain parts of their logistics. This is very beneficial for small companies which operate without a large support team. We can assist customers with research of customs codes, shipping costs and duties, as well as the booking of all transportation, shipping. customs clearance, delivery services and follow-up.
AMW is here to support customers all the way, providing sourcing and development, sampling. production, quality control, quality assurance and testing. On demand add shipping, customs clearance, and logistics as desired by the client.
For many years, AMW has worked with large US corporations such as Mattel, American Girl and Perry Ellis. We have been one of the main suppliers of uniforms and accessories for German Post, DHL Global and other German clients. We have been working with clients such as Early Learning Center, recently Ado Play, Etta Love and Angel's Face as well as other UK clients for decades. Likewise, we have worked with smaller Australian and Japanese clients and are happy to develop new product with all customers who seek long-term cooperation.
AMW's product range covers garments in all materials from cotton to cashmere, accessories, baby products, bedding, fancy dress-up, ladies silk blouses and many other items. AMW and its affiliates comply with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and BC standards and undergo annual audits pertaining to ethical sourcing obligations. We currently source all cotton from outside of China.
