Bolaven farms is located in southern Lao in the heart of the pristine Bolaven highlands.  They grow premium Arabica coffee with good practices implemented throughout the entire supply chain.  Their purpose-driven business is unceasingly investing, one family at the time, to empower the Lao farmers.  A unique Crop-Share Training Contract is the platform for participating farmers to learn organic farming skills, buy land, plant seedlings, and build a modest family home and graduate from Bolaven Farms.  Their graduates are defeating the poverty trap through their unwavering desire for restored hope and dignity.  Their hard work is rewarded with an annual income increase, which will be ten-fold above the Lao average per capita income.
Bolaven meaning “the home of the Laven People” is reviving a historically much valued, distinctive and trustworthy coffee brand for the Bolaven Plateau coffee farmers.

Beverage Menu
Coffee is their core competency.  Their seasoned team of Baristas is trained to craft each and every Italian and Lao style coffee with a little bit of heart.  No details are spared to achieving excellence.  Blending exceptional green beans from their farm with Deterra, Brazil and Oromia Coop, Ethiopia they have created their Bolaven Espresso blend the base for all their Italian style coffees.  An espresso base perfect for crafting a Cafe Latte that embraces traces of chocolate, a balanced sweet fruitiness with a lingering aftertaste of caramel and hazelnut.  Their Sweet Lao, the base for Lao coffees, are exclusively Lao coffee from the Bolaven.  A balanced drink with a familiarity of milk chocolate, a sweet mocha taste and a slight butter note.  Flannel Drip and Aeropress preparations are reserved for manual brewing of award winning coffees from around the world, including their Lao Heirloom Reserve.

Taste of Lao
The Bolaven Sous Vide cooking method enhances the texture and taste of their distinct Lao dishes.  They take pride in their homemade dishes including their signature sausage - Bolaven Cha.  They use as their house sweetener Sovannak Palm Sugar a raw, unrefined, low GI sweetener and avoid the use of white sugar whenever possible.  The Umami of their cooking comes from an array of international ingredients.  One of them is the most unique natural Red Boat Fish Sauce.  A first pressed extra virgin sauce, claiming nature Nitrogen of 40N.  Sprouts from the Brassica family such as Broccoli, Radish and Arugula are packed with micro-nutrients and soluble antioxidants and add taste and nutrition. Their menu is designed to offer a healthy proportion of fiber and a good mix of animal and plant protein. When choosing their product, priority is given to buying local, whenever seasonally abundant, and they grow their own organic sprouts and micro greens.
