(1) Capital Intelligence (Cyprus) Ltd, now known as Capital Intelligence Ratings Ltd ("CI Ratings or CI") was founded in 1982 to provide a unique research and analytical service for major international banks and multinational corporations.  CI's bank credit rating and financial analysis service were launched in 1984.  There are no financial institutions among CI's shareholders, and therefore, no conflict of interest arises and the analysts are totally objective.
(2) In 1986, a new service covering the emerging markets of the Asia/Pacific region was launched in response to growing customer demand.  This regional service has grown significantly and today it comprises nearly 180 banks in fourteen countries.  In recognition of the changing profiles of newly emerging markets in both the Middle Eastern and the Asia/Pacific regions, CI regularly introduces new banks and countries to its coverage.
CI introduces Central/Eastern European Countries, The Baltic States and South Africa into its coverage.

Rating Report is an edited version of a Bank Report.  Rating Report includes an institution's ratings, an appraisal of its strengths and weaknesses, a summary financial analysis and an overall assessment of the institution's financial performance and prospects.  Spreadsheets and Ratios cover the most recent four years' operating results.
Bank Report is an in-depth qualitative and quantitative study of an individual financial institution.  It contains comprehensive analyses of each rated bank's audited financial accounts.  The analysis is enhanced by insight gained through lengthy face-to-face meetings with the banks' senior management.
