The Federation of Beauty Industry (H.K.) (or FBIHK) is a non-profit making organization registered in July 2004 with members from various sectors of the beauty industry. Its objective is to enhance the unity of the beauty industry, and to upgrade the professional qualification, or professional ehtics and social status of the beauty practitioners. 
In recent years,the government has proposed more and more regulations lo be imposed on the beauty industry. These regulations, if implemented, may have a great impact on the operation of the beauty industry. Beauty trade associations and organizations have individually reflected their viewpoints on the proposed regulations to the government but received little feedback. These trade associations and organizations concurred to the importance of unity and decided to form the FBIHK. The FBIHK is to work for the development of the beauty industry. In the long term, the FBIHK will endeavour to achieve its objective, protect the interests of the members and upgrade the skill level of practirioners through different activities listed below: 
1. Provision of knowledge, technology and safety guidelines related beauty service by neabs of conferences, seminars, technical forums, professional skill training and publications; 
2. Setting up and implementation of a certification system in beauty service and technology, operation of equipment etc. for members in order to assess their professional skills; 
3. Organizing and co-organizing, with other organizations, training programs for members; 
4. Collection of members' viewpoints on policies, consultation papers, bills and acts related to the beauty industry and the society, as well as the presentation of these comments to tthe corresponding organizations; 
5. Presenting opinion to the public and taking suitable actions, if necessary, on the ordinance and measures affecting the beauty industry;
