The Watches and Jewellery business group was established in 1999 through the acquisition of a series of complementary brands, all belonging to the prestige timepiece and Jewellery universe. TAG Heuer-a Swiss company whose roots date back to 1860 and which has established itself as the uncontested world leader in prestige sports watches-joined LVMH in the third quarter of the year. The acquisition of TAG Heuer was followed by the takeover of Chaumet, one of the leading French jewellers; and finally by the acquisition of Zenith, and HUBLOT Swiss makers of top-quality movements and timepieces. Alongside Fred Joaillier and Bvlgari, which joined LVMH in respectively 1995 and 2010, the newly acquired companies form a coherent entity of strong differentiated brands.

In Hong Kong, the distribution subsidiary of TAG Heuer, opened in November 1998 has become the new distribution entity for the brands of the Group and operates under LVMH Watch & Jewellery Hong Kong Limited as of July 2000. After sales service is provided directly at the office located at Oxford House, Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay.
