Mr Thomas ROHLIG founded ROHLIG in 1852 in Bremen, Germany as a forwarding company for household goods to German emigrants going to America.  The company has been growing very quickly ever since, and branches have been established all over Germany and Europe.  In the 1950's offices were opened in Australia and South Africa where they are today among the leading forwarder in these countries.  Today ROHLIG is a world-wide expert for all kinds of transport and logistic solutions with its branches on all 5 continents, employing some 2000 people, and has still remained privately owned.

The office in Hong Kong was opened in 1992 and today has 65 employees, who are serving customers for airfreight, sea freight, warehousing and project cargo throughout the region, as well as organizing regular consolidation by air and ocean to and from all major cities around the world.  In addition to its activities in Hong Kong, ROHLIG HONG KONG LTD is also responsible for the offices in China and Korea, where another 75 staff are employed.
