Our Heritage
Founded in 1910 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, Aerowatch
was created with a forward-looking vision. Its distinctive English name reflected the
founders' international ambitions and paid tribute to the pioneering spirit of aviation as a
symbol of innovation and progress at the dawn of the 20th century. Despite the
challenges of the First World War, the family-owned company persevered, laying the
foundations for more than a century of Swiss watchmaking expertise.
The Crevoisier Legacy
A new chapter began in 1942, when Maxime Crevoisier acquired the company and
relocated its operations to Neuchâtel. Under his leadership, Aerowatch became
renowned for the production of finely crafted pocket watches and elegant pendant
watches, earning a reputation for precision, craftsmanship, and reliability.
Following decades of dedicated leadership, Georges Crevoisier, Maxime's son, retired
in 2001 after 46 years at the helm. He entrusted the company to Denis Bolzli, ensuring a
smooth transition and preserving the values and traditions that had shaped the brand for
generations.
The Bolzli Family
Driven by a passion for authentic Swiss watchmaking, Denis Bolzli and his family opened
a new era for Aerowatch. In 2005, the company introduced its first collection of
wristwatches inspired by the timeless elegance of vintage pocket watches. This
milestone gave birth to the iconic 1942 Collection, which remains one of the brand's
signature lines.
Today, Aerowatch is represented by more than 500 retailers worldwide, including over
120 points of sale in Switzerland. While continuing to grow internationally, the
company remains proudly independent and family-owned, combining traditional
craftsmanship with contemporary design.
A Family-Owned Swiss Watchmaker
Since 2024, Aerowatch has entered a new chapter under the leadership of the the
second generation of the Bolzli family. Adeline, Fred-Eric and Jean-Sébastien Bolzli
have taken over the company, continuing the family's long-standing commitment to Swiss
watchmaking while bringing fresh energy and a forward-looking vision to the brand.
Remaining proudly independent and family-owned, Aerowatch continues to uphold the
values that have defined its identity for more than a century : authenticity, quality, and
craftsmanship.
